Afrolink is a mobile application designed for a U.S.-based client, built to connect the African American community through events, networking, and shared experiences. The app functions as both a community hub and an event platform, offering a seamless user experience for attendees and organizers alike.
Dual Experience
Afrolink provides two interconnected user views:
User mode – browse event lists, view details, follow organizers, and join activities.
Organizer mode – create and manage events, track attendance, and engage with the community.
Switching between modes is smooth and intuitive, ensuring consistency across the platform.
In addition, a desktop admin panel gives full control over event management, user activity, and platform moderation.
Design Process
We began with research and user flow mapping, followed by low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes. Based on the client’s request, the final design adopts a dark theme, enhanced with vibrant accent colors and tailored UI elements to create a modern and dynamic feel.
Branding
Alongside the UI design, we also created the Afrolink symbol, establishing a visual identity that reflects both community spirit and cultural pride.
